Specially Appointed Assistant Professor · Astronomical Institute, Tohoku University
I am an astronomer and aerospace engineer exploring how exoplanet atmospheres evolve and escape. I use high- and low-resolution spectroscopy to trace escaping gas, probe atmospheric structure, and understand the diversity of distant worlds.
My research spans atmospheric escape, young and temperate planets, and astrobiology, using observations from JWST and ground-based telescopes. I also work on the science opportunities offered by future observatories.
